I'm horrible...

at keeping up with my blog..

So, I'll just jump right in.
July has been a busy month with preperations for the Grand Opening of The L.A Flea Market on Sinday July 18th, which I've been accepted to. This isn't going to be any regular flea market or farmers market..so extra prep is needed. For more info just click here.
Ah..my weekend will be spent crafting, filling inventory, shipping, building new display stands, on top of my regular orders. So.. I'm pretty busy. Doing this all on my own can be pretty hard sometimes but when I need serious help I know I could always count on my boy. <3

Here is what I've been working on so far as for today:

My Flower Friends: (there's wayy more)

I love these vintage button bobby pins!

My new display stands! I loveee them they look so cute when I set up at events!

Sunday's production will be all my vintage inspired feather jewelry and accessories.. fun. :)

Oh my I've almost forgotten!!!
Today I finally got word back from Ashley Greene's people..So I've sent out 3 different hair accessories to her and I am so excited to see her wear them and hear her feedback!
And I'll be shipping out to Miranda Cosgrove of iCarly! She's super adorable and love accessories!

That's pretty much what's been going on with fancyThat... working on my celebrity cliental, creating new accessories constantly, gearing up to sell at major events on top of my personal life.
I promise to keep this blog up with updates, thoughts..ect.

xx

p.s

Weekend Recap

This weekend was a movie filled, antique shoppin' rainy days full of bliss! So of course I had to see Alice in Wonderland... guh. Such a huge disappointment! I'm sorry but it's either a hit or miss for Tim Burton. The last great film he did was...hmm... Nightmare Before Christmas? Eessh. In my opinion they should of stayed true to the original book and they way It was told. None of this what would happen if Alice went back. Completely dumb. It wasn't even just the story, It was the CGI, the costumes, and Johnny Depp. I love him just as much as the next crazy girl out there, but I didn't understand why he was Scottish or why he sounded like Captain Jack Sparrow? OK.. seriously. I'm going to write a screen play on Lewis Carroll and his life and how the Alice stories came to be.

Well enough with that...

Matt and I went to a plethora of antique stores this weekend! We hit up Pasadena, Monrovia, and even went as far as Agoura Hills. He was looking for straight razors and I was looking for buttons, charms, brooches anything I could use for fancyThat. Poop Matt found only one razor.. :( haha.
However, I found a ton of stuff that I fell in love with!! AH! I cannot wait to own my own house! Soon I hope!
These stores were adorned with just about every thing I ever dreamed about! From shabby chic furniture, clothes, mirrors to amazing vintage books! I took some snap shots a long the way..

I love this vintage birdcage! Next tattoo...maybe..?

I'm obsessed with old mirrors!

storage is always great!

Twin chairs!! Adorable, and I love the little green ottoman.

My toddles will be in cute shabby chic clothes!

ah..love it!

Handmade Displays!

I love my headband handmade display! Matt and I worked really hard on this thing!

So I have this big event coming up (will announce soon) and I need better displays! So instead of spending a fortune on headband displays, I decieded to make them my own with pvc pipes, block of wood, and picked out the fabric to go along with my theme displays! I got all of these supply's at Lowes..total cost was $25 bucks! Such an amazing idea!
Matt did all the sawing..I was too weak to do it alone.. :P

Drill saw to make the holes

First part of the display.

Andddd waaaLA!

Final Product!

Also, while hanging out in Matt's father garage..I started noticing all his fathers collection of vintage thing. It's crazy to think most of his stuff is worth thousands..nuts.

Ok,well that's it for now..back to creating...<3

I'm Obsessed.

Yes, yes.. I don't know how many times I have to say this.. but I was seriously born in the wrong era. Ever since I even had a sense of fashion (which was at a very young age..might I add ;D ) I've been in love with everything from the Victorian Era. Collecting every thing old from mirrors, frames, silver wear, jewelry, furniture..and of yes..clothes.. you'd swear I was your grandma. I have a pretty soft spot for vintage thrift stores.. and i am NOT talking about "the good will" I'm talking about the hidden treasures in L.A which I won't dare speak of.. hehe. Sorry, but I can't. But as you can imagine I take all the things I am passionate about and put it into what I design... I've been really into making fabric rosettes, I love to find fabrics that look shabby chic and rusty. I wasn't sure how my customers would like it, because it's a little different from the "norm".. but they LOVE them! I swear, I sit here everyday making them for people..it's great. Not only could I turn them into headbands..but they make a really cute necklace. I am so satisfied with them..take a lookies..

A side from that..I have been designing my dream house with these super treasures..
