Project Ethos- Francis Frank for Galena

What a night! On October 11th at the Stock Exchange in the heart of DTLA is where the Project Ethos Show took place. As I mentioned before I did a little collaboration with Galena Designs. I custom designed five chain ear cuffs for Galena's NOMAD line. I had such a great time at this show! I got to mingle with some people in the business, potential clients, and projects.  And of course it's always such an amazing feeling to see some of your designs on the runway, even if it's just jewelry.I was so in love with these designs from Galena he is truly a master at his craft. I'm really looking forward to working with him again in the future.

Making Moves

Today I dotted the "I's" and crossed the "T's".  I'm officially apart of La Maison De Fashion team! This is a PR/Consignment store and I'm very lucky to have my own table there. La Maison De Fashion is a style house and brand marketing, designer boutique located in the heart of Los Angeles. They specialized in the promotion of up and coming designers, luxury fashion and lifestyle brands. It's crazy to think my designs are located in a store where celebs such as Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj have been seen shopping for editorial pulls, and awards shows.
In the next couple of weeks I'll be designing some editorial pieces that will be exclusive for pulls for shoots in magazines or red carpet events. I'm really excited to let my freak flag fly with these pieces. I've already teamed up for Galeana Designs for an editorial shoot that was shot this past Saturday and getting ready to shoot a music video with my jewels.

Here's a little sneak peek at one of the looks... I'm not allowed to show you the entire photo...but it's amazing!! Haha. Soon I'll be able to. For this look I designed two Nose Chain Rings, a Silver Head  Chain and you can't see it but Silver Coin Earrings that cascade from ear to ear... it's pretty raddd.

Here's my little set up at La Maison De Fashion, I still have couple of displays I need to build and some new pieces to get up. But all in due time. ;)
I'm so exited for 2013. I finally feel like I'm making my mark and moves to where I want to be in life. I'm so thankful for all these opportunities that are coming my way, and meeting new people that will become life long friends.

New Work

Hello!

I've been pretty busy at neglecting my blog.. -__- I've been busy with orders, and working on a wholesale that needs to get out like now. So I haven't had much time to update on top of feeling under the weather. Some interesting fun news! I'll be collaborating with a designer for LAFW this year. First show is October 11th. I can't say much about it yet until everything is signed and stamped but I'm pretty excited about this one. I participated last year in a First Communion show and had a blast. Lots of important people, and it gained a lot exposure for By Francis Frank. I'll update you more when the time comes. I've also added a couple of new pieces to my shop. So be sure to check them out! The rest of my week consist of orders orders and orders. Pretty stoked! haha

New Fall 2012 Arrivals

The past week has been so busy, catching up on emails, stockits, and orders. Plus some personal events that I had to attend... on top of reading Hunger Games.. I'm hooked.. :/
But I've finally got around to having a mini shoot with my sister rocking the latest designs that I have created for Fall. Also orders are almost done, and being prepared to be shipped out.   Click the photo to see the full set!

 

 On a side note... I've been getting a couple of emails from concerning fans that some of my designs are up on a china wholesale site, they have taken my photos and designs and trying to sell them at a wholesale price.. well, I am aware and taken action against them, there isn't much I could do. I also aware of the other "jewelry designers" who have copied my designs, and at this point I am too busy to even care anymore. Haha, It happens a lot. Although I am flattered I am not impressed. It's just embarrassing on their part. Oh well, It doesn't effect me. :)
One thing you can count on is my designs will always be authentic in thought and always handmade by me and only me. I am not a big corporation, this is a one women show. I could never manufacture my products or purchase at a wholesale price and try and put my name on it as if I created it. I would feel like a fraud.

Orange International Street Fair

Insane. That's how I described my three day weekend event at the Orange International Street Fair. It takes about month for me to prepare for this event, since everything is handmade by only me and you never know how much to make you could sell out in one night, or sell out of a particular item. But of course, I was still making jewelry while people shopped. Ha. The first day is always exhausting. It's set up day. Since I was vending with my friend Melissa Loschy (who by the way is amazing at displays), it only took us about 3-4 hours to set up..haha. We were very sweaty to say the least. We had the same booth as last year which is awesome, since we're right in front of the stage and alcohol. On Friday the event starts at 5pm and It's just a swarm of people. Which is always great for business.
Saturday and Sunday are the exact same, but it starts early at 10am, which still gets packed. There is so many people at this event, we didn't have cell service which sucked, because we couldn't accept credit cards! But thankfully a friend stopped by and lent us his WiFi. So It's safe to say we were the only ones who accepted credit cards at the event. :)

This by far the most fun I have vending. I love this event, not just becuase of all it's profits, but get to meet some really cool people and some pretty halarious people. I'm going to have to blog about the history of jewelry and head chains, and slave bracelets. A lot of girls insisted that Head Chains were made up by Khole Kardashian... hahaha.  Which is clearly incorrect.
I seriously cannot wait until next years event and all the crazy that comes with it.

I thought this would be my last event for the year, but I've applied for Patchwork in Culver City for the Holidays so hopefully I'll get to vend there. I've also updated the shop with some new stuff, so check that out!
